Engineering
Our background is in Polymer Technology and Plastics Engineering, encompassing all aspects of plastics molding and our manufacturing design structure is primarily driven from vast experience in lean, world class manufacturing environments.

We focus on Safety First (with workplace organization for clean safe operation a priority). Following safety is a commitment to efficiency, economics and best in practice manufacturing processes.

All are engineering driven from OTM (Optimized Time and Motion), SMED (Single Minute Exchange of Die), VSM (Value Stream Mapping), to correct choice of material and design for manufacturability.

Process development
When discussing process development we are talking about customizing best in practice technologies, techniques, policies and equipment to the customer and our mutual benefit. Mutual benefit is achieved when we can reduce / eliminate defects occurrence in a cycle time optimized process that consistently ensures highest integrity of product quality, at fast cycle, for the duration of production run – and is then repeatable on subsequent runs for the life of the project.



We start the process with correct material selection at commencement of project. Tools are designed to suit the material with correct application of shrink rate to enable stable processing from not fighting materials natural flow patterns in order to achieve sizing. Steel safe applications can be identified for highly critical tolerances. With a good tool and the correct equipment – stabilization is so much more easily achieved.

Injection molding
ROA Pacific is a relatively new company and has seized advantage of newer technologies from the start. We have all electric molding machines for high-tech injection molded product, offering speed, high precision, energy efficiency, noise minimization and repeatable stable quality. Integrated small accumulator hydraulic systems mean existing tooling technology with hydraulic systems can also be used.

Materials
Quality assurance begins with qualification of material suppliers to assure compliance with customer requirements. ROA offers decades of injection molded plastic material selection experience. From basic polypropylene, polyethylene, thermoplastic elastomers, polycarbonate and abs through to filled polyamides and peek. High wear screws and barrels and free flow tip technology can be used for high performance glass filled materials.

Automation
ROA is designed and managed by engineers with a keen eye for lean manufacturing. Productivity improvement and handling minimization through automation is a fundamental part of our project design process. The result is a repeatable, reliable, labor and time efficient, clean handling, cavity separation friendly and ultimately cost effective system.
